Hornets RFC GDPR Policy Statement
The UK government via the EU has introduced the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) law, which takes effect from 25 May 2018. In order to comply with this requirement, Hornets RFC has produced a new GDPR Policy to make it easier for you to find out how we use and protect your information relating to Hornets RFC.

We won’t be changing the ways we use your personal information, but the new notice will provide you with additional details such as:
What personal information we collect. Contact data, some examples of which are:
your email address,
your contact number,
For playing Members, your rugby career history (in the form of a CV), and
any other personal information you include in your interactions with Hornets RFC.
How we use your personal information
Our main reasons for collecting your personal information are to support your application for membership to Hornets RFC and to comply with RFU legal obligations.

We will keep you informed of all news and other aspects pertaining to Hornets RFC and associated RFU notifications for up to 12 months.
What personal information Hornets RFC Ltd shares with third parties
We may share your personal information with the RFU and certain third parties who provide services on our behalf. We will not sell your details to third parties for marketing or any other purpose.
How long we keep your personal information
Your details will be deleted after 12 months, until the start of the following season, unless you request otherwise via the Membership form.

Where possible, we give you control over the personal information we collect about you.
How we protect your personal information
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption on our computer membership system, to protect your personal information and privacy, and review those regularly.
Data transfers, storage and handling of your personal information
We will make sure that any transfers of your personal information from one entity to another comply with those data protection and privacy laws which apply to us.
At the bottom of the Hornets RFC Membership form for the next rugby season you will be asked to confirm that you have read and understood the Policy.
The Policy will be available online through the Hornets RFC website and hard copies will be made available for viewing behind the bar within the Clubhouse.
By completing & signing the Hornets RFC Membership form for any type of membership you will automatically agree to your data being kept and processed in accordance with the Hornets RFC GDPR Policy document.
